** Breaking News! ** – on 7th September 2023 we have been advised by Predator Free NZ of us being successful again in our application for backyard trapping funds! For the 2nd year running we have received a substantial grant, allowing us to continue our programme of supplying traps to Warkworth Residents. Thank you and ngā mihi nui Predator Free NZ!

New Zealand’s native flora and fauna are under continual pressure from introduced species with many on the brink of extinction.
Our aim is to make urban Warkworth pest free but we need your help!

Under the umbrella of Forest & Bird Warkworth Area Branch, Pest Free Warkworth invites you to be part of this community led initiative.
We are targeting a minimum of one in five households in urban Warkworth to be part of the Pest Free Warkworth project so that our community can become completely pest free by 2050.
We have the generous support of many partners in enabling us to succeed. Especially thanks go to Predator Free NZ (grants and support), Auckland Council (grants and support), Forest and Bird (governance and fund management), Matakana ITM (donations of time and materials), plus many other local community groups and volunteers who make this all possible.
